Player's Name: Jules Other Characters: Remus & Erebus. Contacts: Cbox, pm, or admin pm (jules) Random Fact: I was sorted into Slytherin on Pottermore. Though, lol, who even remembers Pottermore these days? Such a let down. :[
Name: Juliette Aisling Sinclair Alias: Juliette Age: 15 Birthday: July Gender: Female Blood: Pureblood. Sexual Preference: Heterosexual. Wand: Rose, Unicorn Hair & Fairy Wings, 8 in, Delicate Pet: A black cat named Mischa. Special Ability: None.
Year: Fifth. House: Hufflepuff.
Best Subject: Herbology & Care of Magical Creatures. Worst Subject: Defense Against the Dark Arts & Astronomy. Quidditch: No. Patronus: Yes, a lamb.
Hair: Long, wavy, and brown. She often wears it back in a loose bun or ponytail. Eyes: Hazel-green. Height: 5'7" Weight: 110. She's very underweight.
Despite growing up in a less than desirable household with minimal attention and care, she is quite the sweet girl. She doesn't make friends easily, however, most of that being due to her odd nature. She laughs at inappropriate times and stops in the middle of sentences when she's talking, then proceeds to pretend as if nothing has happened. Often she'll stare into space or mutter things to herself. She's harmless, but still a bit odd in the head.
She's not at all unkind however and treats things with a gentle, sweet disposition. This is why she does so well in Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures- she is able to make plants grow and has a serene quality to her that makes animals feel at ease. Oftentimes, people would be surprised to learn of her pureblood heritage, and she has been repeatedly told by her family that she shames them due to her willingness to accept and care for people.
Being called a blood-traitor is a serious offense- she did not become Slytherin like the rest of her family which increased the abuse she suffered in her household until her parents' deaths. It's possible that Juliette has never realized her full magic potential. She is a pro at defensive spells, and she could likely channel her powers into more destructive means should she wish, but she doesn't. She wishes that things were more simple and for peace to come to the wizarding world, but it's a pipe dream and deep down, she probably knows it.
Juliette Aisling Sinclair is the daughter of Luciana and Marcius Sinclair and one of four children who remain. She was the middle child in the orders of birth, having two older brothers and two younger siblings (one male, one female). It was the younger set of twins who gave any indication towards the family's blood lineage as the youngest girl was born without eyes. As the oldest girl, she was expected to take care of her younger siblings and was often taught to not have a say in family matters, whereas her brothers were groomed for it, even though one of them would not inherit the estate.
Their father, Marcius was a vicious cruel man who was beginning to lose the edge of his sanity in his final days. He would use unspeakable means to get his children to behave, however due to his hallucinations he was often under the impression that they were doing things wrong, even if they weren't. Juliette was close to her eldest brother who often tried to protect her- seeing as she was a favorite target (likely due to her gender). But they never had any real sibling interactions as one might call it in such a broken house.
Her eldest brother's Hogwarts letter came right on time when he was Eleven, and he was proudly sorted in to the Slytherin house as expected of him. There was pride in the family and an almost-peace that seemed to last while he was away at Hogwarts. The following year, however, her other brother's letter did not come. A squib in the family, how could it have happened? Knowing he was in danger, he fled, and Juliette tried to cover for him to allow him to get as far away as possible, despite the magic trace.
Marcius turned his rage on her for concealing his whereabouts and tried to drown her during her evening bath. Her eldest brother happened to be home and attempted to stop him only to have his rage turned on him as well. Both children were victims of the unforgivable curses, and its lasting affects has shown itself on them in very different ways. Although she had always had a meek disposition, Juliette began to act with odd ticks about her- shuffling her feet and her eyes darting around. She'd mumble to herself and talk to imaginary people at times, but seem perfectly fine in others.
Later that year, after she got her Hogwarts letter, she joined her brother at the school but in the house of Hufflepuff. It was a disgrace to the family name, and her kind behavior towards others was enough to define her as a blood-traitor in of itself, for many of her friends were muggleborn and halfblood. She wanted to accept others rather than segregate them. Trying to make her see the error in her ways, her father talked with the Rosier family about an arranged marriage for his daughter to their only son: Evan. A young pureblood boy with a malicious streak. If anyone could set his daughter right, he could.
During the winter of her fourth year, her father's illness caught up with him and he died. Her mother would later poison herself to go join him in the afterlife. This left her older brother in charge of the estate. While things have been considerably calmer in their large family home, the scars that were inflicted there remain and taint it from ever feeling like anything more than a prison. Her tendencies to slip into her own mind increase when she stays there, but seem to get much better in the school year.
It's her fifth year at Hogwarts and she doesn't see much of her brother who is in Slytherin. Her younger siblings are still too young to go to the school and be sorted, and they currently live with a caretaker and house-elf year round. The arrangement of marriage cannot be broken due to the magical contract involved, despite the fact she knows so little about Rosier- in fact, she's pretty sure she's never met him what with being in a different year and house. She's hoping that he will be different from the others, but from what she knows of even her brother, people are never what they seem.
