Update, April 18, 2013: The story begins in early September of 1976. Students have just arrived back in school only to find tension is in the air more than ever.
Rumors have begun to circulate that something is not right. There have been a few reports of people going missing, muggle families being attacked, and hate-crimes against muggle-borns and half-bloods on the rise. The damage has extended to Hogsmeade, where threats are high in the air but perpetrators no where to be found.
It has created a sense of unease in the wizarding world, and it seems to the public eye that nothing is being done to stop this. A powerful force is beginning to move. In fact, the Ministry, while keeping a public face, has been denying the rumors, coming up with every possible excuse and explanation for these incidents.
Hogwarts remains safe... for now.
