The beginning of another new school year, it felt so odd to be back here after the time he had spent away. Well, it hadn't been particularly long but still he had to readjust to Hogwarts once again though hopefully it wouldn't take to long. There was that and the fact he was afraid that he was going to get himself lost in all the rows and rows of books, which would be quite sad considering he was supposed to be in charge of this place after all.
Aindriu made his way through the shelves of books, Vanity following behind him from above twisting her thin body around the books and over the empty places of the shelves. It wasn't like this place was completely new to him, no he had been here quite a lot in his student years but it was completely different from this point of view or at least that was how he was looking at it.
Finally he made it back to the desk, the poor wooden desk already covered with books and papers despite the school year just beginning. He sat at the chair, Vanity only a few moments behind him landing on top of the desk. He scratched the cat under her chin trying to distract himself from getting back to work. Aindriu stopped and looked at the cat with a sigh, "I don't know Vanity. This seems so....." The cat rubbed her face against her master's hand, making him smile and scratch her again.

Aske had an idea, why not make History of Magic more fun? Because at the moment it was not so, boring! Always so boring! Maybe it was the fact they were taught by a ghost, but Aske thought that was rather cool... oh well. It was just so facts, about wars. And you would think wars had to be somewhat exciting, bloodbaths, people getting killed. Not the happiest scenes in the world but not boring anyway. He had fell asleep in his last class, he wondered why on earth he had decided to carry this on after his fifth year, but the only reasons he at least passed the damn thing was because he did actually look in the books. By looking in the books and imagining it, it was actually good. Learning about the last goblin war was fascinating. But then there was something else he had read, a skirmish between a group of muggles and wizards in the sixteenth century. Really? It was almost brilliant, like a story. Only half of the wizards at the time had wands, and the muggles had swords. From the sounds of it the battle had been magnificent, until one of the wizards had cheated, after swearing not to use the killing curse he had. Oh come on, how could Aske not take advantage of this?
So he had set out through the castle, carrying his book. He loved it, it was all about photography spells. And there was one he couldn’t wait to try out, like the usual animating spell it made the pictures move, but you could tell it what scene to show, like a mini film. Why not make it a little scene of a fight? It would be fun, and he was sure he would be able to find people to help with it. They could dress up and have a laugh... great! But he needed supplies, costumes would be easy enough to find, he was disappointed in the lack of chain mail around the castle but he would be able to pull something together. And then swords. This was the most vital bit, he needed them. He had taken a sword off one suit of armour and had looked it over, it didn’t seem right. He wanted them to look perfect, it was too broad... too old. There were charms, he supposed. He needed nice glamour ones, or to actually change the sword itself. Yes, that would be great. He set off again, carrying the sword by his side, it was heavy but not exceptionally so.
The library was the practical place to find the right spells, but honestly he didn’t know where to start looking. He also needed a book on swords, would a magical library have one? He would hope so, or they were not that diverse at all. This would be easier if he knew what he was looking for in the first place, or came in here more than one or two times a year. Not that he didn’t like it, he just usually had everything that he needed, or he simply didn’t care enough to look for a book. He hadn’t been fond of the last librarian anyway, maybe the new one would be better? He hoped so, he needed their help.
The librarian was easy enough to find, Aske spotted him by his desk with a cat. Oh good. He walked over and smiled warmly, holding the sword up. “Hej, can you help me? I suppose... that makes sense if I want to find a book, right?” He tilted his head at him for a moment, the first time speaking to him and he had just asked him a question, that wasn’t very nice. Shouldn’t he introduce himself? “Sorry,” he started again, “My name is Aske. What is yours? You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want.” Aske shrugged, “But you’re the librarian, what do I have to call you then? Not professor, so I don’t know...”
