On the surface, Annie’s the kind of witch everyone wants to be friends with. She’s smart, funny, sweet, and charming. A lot of people think she’s really hard to tick off, which is somewhat true. She does get angry, she’s just really good at hiding it. Very few people realize how self-conscious she really is. Most people assume she’s a confident, funny girl who doesn’t care about the insults that are occasionally thrown her way, but she really does. Slytherin's tend to try to make her life hell, and that's really rubbed her the wrong way. She hates how they try and alienate her for being Muggleborn. Annie's always felt a little weird not coming from a magic family, but that doesn't mean others have to make her feel bad for it.
Annie’s been a lot quieter in the past year, due to a certain Slytherin boy who’s name will go unmentioned. Now, she’s the girl that rarely lets other people know what she’s feeling. She only shares personal things with her close group of trusted friends. Truth be told, she's never been very loud. Annie's just not one to tell everyone everything that's going on in her life.
Annie would honestly do just about anything for her friends. If she sees anyone picking on them, she'll go after that person, even if it means that she'll be picked on. Annie can deal with being picked on herself, but she hates to see it happen to other students. She'd be one of the first people to hex someone because they were being mean to someone that did nothing to deserve it.
It was a bitterly cold day when Annie was born. Not much is remembered of the day in perticular, but it's always been described as terribly cold. Annie was born around eleven o'clock at night on January 18th and her mother died at around twelve o'clock the next morning. It wasn't an easy birth, and Mary dieing because of it shows that.
Annie's childhood wasn't a happy one, though it wasn't very sad either. Her father threw himself into his work, or the drank a lot. Annie didn't really spend a lot of time with him. Instead, her older sister took care of her in a way. She made sure Annie didn't get hurt and knew the difference between right and wrong. Allison was really Annie's guardian, to tell you the truth.
When Annie turned eleven, she recieved her letter to Hogwarts. Given that Annie's whole family was Muggles, she was confused by the whole thing. But then, someone from the school showed up at her house and explained everything to Annie, Allison, and their father. Anthony Holliday was fine with Annie going, he didn't really care what his children did anymore. So, Annie went off to Hogwarts.
On the train ride there, she met Lori Higgens. The two quickly became best friends and they still are today. Lori's the one person (besides her sister) that Annie trust completely. When the pair arrived at Hogwarts, they were both sorted into Gryffindor house and quickly made friends with many others as well.
It wasn't until her second year that Annie met Keats Mctavish. From the moment they met, he made Annie's life at Hogwarts hell. She hated him with her whole heart, and that was no secret to anyone. They quickly became enemies and Annie avoided him whenever she could. Though, it wasn't easy. He seemed to single her out out of every Muggleborn at Hogwarts. His group of Slytherins called her every bad name in the book. Although Annie's not entirely sure, she suspects they were the ones to kill her owl.
In her sixth year, Mctavish seemed to stop bullying her. He didn't call her any bad names or do anything mean to her, at first. His gang of Slytherins were still mean to her, but without Mctavish, they were a lot less mean. Annie was beginning to enjoy the almost-peaceful year when IT happened. Annie was on her way back to the Gryffindor common room from the library when she was kidnapped. Someone stunned her and dragged her Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom. Annie quickly began to plea for Mctavish to let her go and to not harm her in anyway and he did. But, Annie will never forget the look in his eyes when he did. It was so sad it made her want to cry and tell him it was alright, but she didn't. Well, she did cry but she didn't say anything else to him.
Once she had made it back to her common room, she told Lori everything. Lori made her go to her Head of House and report him, which Annie finally did. Mctavish wasn't expelled. which Annie was secretly pleased with. No, she didn't secretly love him or anything, she just remembered the sad look in his eyes and she knew that he hadn't entended to harm her.
This year, Annie hasn't avoided Mctavish... er Keats. She hasn't gone out of her way to talk to him, but she has become more and more aware of him everyday. Lately, Annie has found herself thinking more and more about the boy with the sad eyes.
