This is a post regarding the subject of Death Eaters. Most of you know that by this point in the books, death eaters were common knowledge.
However, because this site is AU-canon, we have decided to delay the timeline slightly. What does this mean?
Death Eaters are NOT common knowledge. There may be a few pureblood students who have heard the term due to having parents join Lord Voldemort, but it's doubtful they'd know the complete significance behind it just yet.
Only disappearances and mysterious happenings have been occurring until this point.
The attack on Hogsmeade thread is the beginning of the "war". After the thread is finished, death eaters WILL become common knowledge and people will be knowing who to fear and who to blame. If you'd like to join to the thread, please do so. It is a global thread!
After it is complete, this post will be deleted and The Daily Prophet will be updated with the new information.
