Hair: Alysa has blonde, wild hair. It curls and waves at it's own will, often becoming knotted due to it's length. It stops about at her waist, parting softly from one side of her head. With her bangs as long as they are, her hair generally just blends together, so the length difference isn't much a concern. When her hair is pulled back, the bangs go with it, and the tied hair is often flung over one shoulder. Eyes: A soft green, sometimes appearing slightly blue in color. Height: Five foot, five inches. Weight: One hundred twenty-three pounds.
Alysa has changed a lot since her younger years. Before, she would always have questions about the wizarding world. By her second year at Hogwarts, though, magic had become like second nature for the young half blood. Growing used to the differences between it and the muggle world, Alysa has become your average, young witch. But there are a few similar qualities that have shone through the years. For example, Alysa is a very creative mind. She enjoys abstract artwork or activities, often drawing upon seemingly normal objects for inspiration.
She speaks softly, very polite, and often unheard in a large crowd. However, if you catch her alone, she can speak in a very blunt and defiant manner.
Being young, Alysa has become partial to flirting with those whom she finds herself attracted to, despite the fact that she hasn't found “the one” yet.
She likes to hang out with the odd crowd, finding them far more impressive, more times than not. That isn't to say that Alysa doesn't fit around with different cliches. She is relatively peppy, generally in a good mood unless you do something to change that beforehand.
While she isn't easily angered, though she is a pretty strong-minded person. She doesn't enjoy seeing people in pain or embarrassed, so she might find herself in the middle of a rivalry if she disagrees with someone's actions towards another student or teacher. Alysa also tends to hold harsh grudges, so her trust is hard to earn back if you break it, even on accident.
A somewhat odd quality to her is that, despite her friendly nature, Alysa hates to be touched unless you are extremely close to her. While this phobia is most of the time unjust, the young girl can't help but feel endangered if put in the situation. She also doesn't like crowds, so she sometimes has to find a corner and sit there until the halls of Hogwarts are cleared enough for her mental state.
Alysa was born in Cardiff in the United Kingdoms, to muggle mother and a pureblood wizard that went by the name of Richard in the muggle world. His birth name, Acuzio, was often accused as false when he interacted in the muggle realm, so he was pressured to accept a different persona in order to fluidly return time and time again. Acuzio was neutral when it came to the never ending idea that purebloods were better than those who were half or less. But his ideals were quickly swayed when he met Alysa's mother, Sarah. He soon found himself to fancy the muggle, but was not deterred by her blood status. Acuzio began to woo the young woman, and after a time, the two married as a young couple in love. Two years later, news of Sarah's pregnancy came, and Acuzio ignored the constant voice in his head, telling him that, eventually, he would have to reveal his wizarding abilities. After Alysa was born, the family of three moved to Newport, where they lived for the next ten years.
Through her childhood, Alysa gave few hints of magical capabilities. While the chances of his child being a Squib were slim, Acuzio couldn't seem to shake the idea. Alas, one day when she was seven, Alysa finally gave solid proof.. To both her father, and mother. It was a few days before she turned eight, and Alysa was roaming the house, looking for the presents she suspected were somewhere in a closet. She nearly turned the whole house upside down before her parents found her, boxes and cloths levitating around her. Needless to say, her mother nearly fainted at the sight of the unusual circumstances. Her father, however, was ecstatic. Explaining to his wife was the last thing on his mind.. until she started screaming in his ear.
It took a while for Sarah to comprehend, but now being aware that Acuzio had been blatantly keeping secrets from her nearly drove her up the wall. However, she could see how and why it must have been important to keep from her since she was never apart of the wizarding world. She took it one step at a time, day by day, getting used to idea. Eventually she began calling “Richard” by his birth name while around the house. Sarah often had questions or requests for her husband, her curiosity quickly getting the best of her, like 'How long before she can..' or 'Can you do this..'. Often times she was amazing and in shock at all the things that magic could do, sometimes wishing out-loud she had known sooner so she “wouldn't have to clean all the dishes”.
When Alysa turned eleven, her mother and father both sat patiently as she stood by the window, curtain held back, waiting for her letter to Hogwarts. The young girl was so full of life, ready to start a formal education in the magical arts. At the time, she didn't realize what all she would leave behind, all she could think about was if she was going to be put in the same house as her dad, or if she would make new friends and have people she could always write to over the summers to come. The day her letter arrived was the hardest for her mother. Sarah had known that her little baby would be staying far away, a place where she couldn't hold or kiss her, or read her stories or play with. But time and time again, Acuzio guaranteed that their little girl would be back, unharmed, and more and more wise and mature past her years.
Diagon Alley was an adventure not just for Alysa, but also her mother. It would be her first time being surrounded by people who lived in a world that she had only just been introduced to. It was a scary, yet mystifying experience. Alysa, like most young witches and wizards, had her wand find her in Olivander's, and she made a friend in the little pet shop with a small elf owlet, just beginning to master flying. She named her new pet Milth, and oddly suspected that maybe in her owl's mind, she had an American accent and had a craving for grapes. Going to Platform 9¾ was the final step in the young girl's journey. She went with her father, holding his hand as they walked through the barrier. They said their goodbyes, she boarded the train, and she was on her way.
At Hogwarts she was sorted in Hufflepuff, unlike her father who was a Ravenclaw, and found her forte in defensive magic. For the next five years she mainly kept in the same niche and crowd, a large and fluid group of young witches and wizards. She wrote to her parents on the strange nights when she felt nostalgic, and found that going home for the holidays was one of the best, most personal experiences.
