Wand: Mahogany, Unicorn Hair, 11”, Sturdy Pet: tortoiseshell calico cat (named “Cheshire”) Special Ability: She gives great hugs...Otherwise, no.

Best Subject: Charms, Muggle Studies Worst Subject: Astronomy, History of Magic Quidditch: Chaser, maybe? Patronus: blue merle Australian Shepherd
Hair: Blond, a couple inches past shoulder length. Eyes: Blue Height: 5'8 Weight: 125 lbs.
Callidora has been called “a sweet girl” by her parents and identifies as a proud “friendly, loyal, and energetic” Hufflepuff. She gets along fine with most people and is willing to give people the benefit of the doubt. She believes there can be a nice person hidden under bad behavior and is of the naïve opinion that a little understanding and compassion can fix most problems. That does not mean, however, that there are not some people she dislikes, she is just not obvious about it.
The blonde believes strongly in house unity and she's friendly with everyone unless they're mean to her. Although she is a little unnerved by the Slytherins, she would not mind being friends with one if she were to find one nice enough. She may pull small pranks or assist in some every now and then, but it is not done with a mean intent. There's nothing wrongly with friendly rivalry in her eyes as long as no one is hurt or humiliated. She is the type to take a stand for the things she feels strongly about and is fiercely devoted to those she cares about.
Callidora loves the outdoors, seeing magical creatures, playing games, and spending time with her friends. She likes her classes for the social interaction they allow and frequently attempts to pass around notes. She likes classes that allow her to touch things or see results. She likes most of her classes, but largely tends to make average grades unless she really puts forth the effort. She does well in Charms, Herbology, Flying, and Muggle Studies. (She only signed up for Muggle Studies because she knew she would have an advantage since she regularly visits her mother's parents during the summer and sends them letters during the school year.) She has trouble with Astronomy and History of Magic because the stars all the same to her and Professor Binns' voice puts her to sleep.
Callidora Peltier is the middle child in her family with an older sister who was in Ravenclaw and a ten-year-old little brother. She was born on November 22, 1959 to a loving and supportive family. She is a half-blood witch with a pure-blood father and a Muggle born mother.
When her parents were married, her father was disowned. It was not until years later (sometime after her paternal grandfather died) that things improved. When her grandmother was sick “from grief”, Callidora's mother visited her. At first, this was met with resistance with the old woman calling her daughter-in-law a mudblood and being difficult. Eventually, Callidora was brought over and introduced which wore down the woman's defenses over time (and stopped her from trying to throw things). She is the only child who is willing to visit her pureblood grandmother who grew to adore her. Callidora was always polite to her grandmother despite being ignored by her at first. When she saw that her son had had children with his muggle-born wife finally proved to her that this union was going to last and that she could not simply pretend that her son would "see the light" and abandon his wife.
Out of all the children, Callidora is the most adventurous and this tendency was rubbed off on her little brother. She plays Quidditch with him and tries to get him to learn more about magical creatures. Her older sister is inflexible in some beliefs such as “Once a bigot, always a bigot” and is quick to avoid things that look too difficult unless they are of an academic/employment-related nature. She is not particularly close to her older sister because the older girl views the blonde as unrealistic and largely unmotivated. Still, the two girls do love each other.
She gets along well with her parents, but is closer to her father than her mother. Her mother has a career in Wizarding law, but she is not exactly of what her father does for a living. Her mother is her rock, but she takes after her father in terms of personality. The blonde thinks that both the Wizarding and Muggle worlds are both interesting and often asks both her paternal grandmother and maternal grandparents about them. She likes listening to Muggle records and Wizard music and is interested in reading about fashion and other entertainment trends from both of the worlds.
She was absolutely thrilled when she received her letter to Hogwarts. Throughout the summer before classes, she frequently practiced with her wand and was eager to meet her new classmates and learn the skills that she would put toward her future career. But even in her sixth year, she is unsure about what she wants to do in the future. She likes the idea of being a Healer, an entertainment writer for Witch Weekly or the Daily Prophet, being a professional Quidditch player or involved with the sport somehow, and every in between.
