Name:Sirius Orion Alphard Black (yes, he has two middle names, and yes, unlike james’s they are manly, and no, you cannot call him any of them, and yes, even if they are manly)
Alias: Padfoot (exclusively by the Marauders), Black (by others), Sissy (only James, and he got a bleeding nose the only time he used it)
Age: sixteen and 3/4.
Birthday: 28th June
Gender: Male. ( Sirius knows that stupid people exist because often they mistake him for a girl from the back. They say it's because of his hair, but seriously? How can one mistake that beautiful mannly hair for a girl's? How can one not see his broad shoulders and sculpted arms and shapely legs (not to talk about that derriere)? Do they look female to anyone?)
Blood: pure blood ( but he doesn't like using that word, reminds him too much of where he comes from)
Sexual Preference: SEXGOD, would be Sirius's choice of vocabulary (To the general public's knowledge, its usually girls.)
Wand: If asked, Sirius would say that his wand was made of real hard, hard wood, its very thick, loooong, and can make you go whoop when he's all hardcore - after that he'd have a good laugh, and tell you he's just messing around. His real wand, the one he got from Olivander’s is 12 ½ inches, dragon heart string, ebony, not very flexible but it’s pretty good for hexes, and defensive magic
Pet: Sirius had a toad once. Its dead now. James and he blew it up like a raspberry in their first year with a simple spell they learned at charms. Sirius never bothered to replace his pet, He borrows an owl from the owlery whenever he needs to send a letter or something.
Special Ability: An animagus, he can transform in a big bear-like dog. His friends joked about him looking like the Grimm once. He just thinks he looks like a big black shaggy dog, larger than any normal dog, but with friendly amber eyes that cannot be mistaken for the Grimm's. Anyway, he's animagi ability is a secret between the Marauders, also it happens to be illegal, which Sirius very much likes.
Year: Sixth
House: Gryffindor, of course. Sirius wouldn't have it any other way.
Best Subject: Defense Against the Dark Arts - to Sirius it's like peanuts, he'd seen so much dark arts and dark artifacts around his mother's house, that he can name them off the tips of his fingers. So really, for him its easy to know what they are made of, and how to do a counter spell to stop them. But what has truly driven him to understand and excel at DADA is his hatred and resentment he had for his family and their ideologies of blood elitism. While at school Sirius did everything he could to learn things to defy and displease his family - he learned all there was that went against their morale, meaning every topic in the DADA syllabus, and that earned him quiet a good grade in the class.
Divination - Sirius says he doesn't understand a sod of the thing, but he's the best of his class. Sirius just likes drinking the disgusting tea, and poke at the leaves and come up with crazy disastrous stories with James - the more tragedious, the more professor Trelawney thinks they are two little genius.
Charms - he's not bad it, only because he's lazy. He's had a good deal of training swishing his wand this way and that to summon things so not to get off his lazy ass. Still, Flitwick liked praising Sirius whenever possible, thinks he and James are two of his best students, and this makes Sirius quiet fond of the little man and enjoys his class.
Transfiguration used to be in the 'worst subject category' as in his first year at Hogwarts, Sirius couldn't properly change a bird in a feather, or a kettle in a kitten, the only thing he could do then was explode things. That's why Mc.Gonagal liked having him seated at the very last desk, isolated from other students, and away from as many shelves as possible. Sirius had hated transfiguration at first, calling his transfiguration lessons 'quarantine'. Truth was he didn't want to put any proper effort in this class, he couldn't care less, and it was part of his teenage rebellion. Later in his first year, after quickly becoming good friends with James, Remus and (somewhat) Peter, his attitude changed, and he realized he could put in some care and effort in his schoolwork. Sirius found out to be an excellent Transfiguration student to everyone's disbelief, including McGonagall, who he had affectionately pet named McGoogles. He became quiet good friends with the professor, and she somewhat respected his intelligence and thought he was could be a great student if it wasn't for his stubborn attitiude, rebelliousness, and mischievous streak which often earned him a visit to her office.
Worst Subject: Herbology - Sirius thinks all plants and flowers look the same, and that they are only good for one thing - to pee on (in animagi formand human form).
Astronomy falls under the same category, since he thinks its a great sport to join-the-dots. Sometimes his interest is picked up as he, and most of his family members are named after stars and constellations, but that's the only thing that interests him, as for the rest, if it weren't for Remus's notes, he'd have failed this subject already (and another couple, like Herbology).
Quidditch: No. He tried once, having long hair flapping in the wind and whipping him in the face wasn't fun, even if it was gorgeous and it made all girls scream and faint over.
Patronus: Yes. Sirius's patronus is a silvery big bear-like dog (looks very similar to his animagi form)
Hair: Sirius hair is what he's iconic for. Its pitch black, and really long, around shoulders length. He likes to wear it loose, sometimes tucked behind his ears, in what he call's the 'sirius fashion' - meaning shaggy tresses that give him a bad-boy look.
If asked, Sirius would say that his hair – it’s every girl’s dream. It’s long, black and beautiful.
Eyes: Gray blue, the color of his eyes varies from a dark gray to a light blue depending on his mood. Its more inclined to be greyish though. It tends to vary towards a light grayblue when he's serene and calm, and clouds over into a dark gray when he's angry, or passionate about something.
Height: 6''1. Sirius will keep forever denying what James said - Sirius is not one inch and a half taller, but two whole inches taller than James.
Weight: Sirius won't tell his weight to anyone, not out of his own good will, so it remains quiet a mystery to this day. The only thing we know is, he might not be preserving his current figure for too long if he'll keep living on his staple diet of butterbeer, firewhisky, and zonko's chocolate.
Sirius's wasn't always the person most know today. When he was younger Sirius had a different personality. He grew up in a strict, unhappy environement, making most of his childhood sad. He grew up with some anger issues like all hormonal teenagers do at his age, but this was mostly produced from the resentment and hatered he held towards most of his family and their beliefs. All that gave him a bitter edge on life and everything in general. He was sarcastic, also reclusive, and pushed away people. For this the young Sirius didn't have many friends. Wherever he banged his head he encountered a face of his family members that he hated, or just random smiley strangers that made him want to punch them in their face. He preferred to be on his own anyway, he didn't like company.
However Sirius came a long way from that. As Sirius grew and started going to Hogwarts his character strated to change and develop. Being away from the claustrophobic Black house, and infusing in his friend's presence, Sirius became a better person. Still, somewhere hidden deep inside him is still that dark bitter teenage kid, and from time to time caught on a bad day to everyone's anxiety he resurfaces. Usually it's better to step aside and let his black mood (no pun intended) pass away. Anyway, nowadays if someone were asked to describe Sirius, his description would be narrated quiet different.
Sirius is one of the most popular guys at Hogwarts. His good looks, charm with professors, charm with the ladies, and great inclination to get into trouble has produced quiet a name for him. Often his fame preceeds him.
We can say that Sirius has a lot of friends and fans. There's also quiet a number of ex-girlfriends. There might be a short list of haters, but its often kept to the minimum. However, on the top of that list, if it were to exist, would be written Snape's name in big bold capitals. He happens to be more than just a hater which dislikes Sirius - they're mortal enemies. Sirius hates the guts out of his greasy being.
Some girls would say Sirius is an ass. That doesnt stray too much far from the truth. He can be quiet a nuisance at times, but at least he's got the decency not to be too much of a nuisance as he knows one James Potter can be towards a little red head they both know.
Sirius is incredibly loyal to his loved ones. A curious thing about Sirius is that when he loves, he loves with all himself. Unfortunately the oppposite also applies for things he hates. When Sirius hates, he hates with all he's got, and passion can drive the young man to do crazy things . His friends aren't in full knowledge of this uncontrolable source of passion in Sirius. Its a trait that makes would make them worried and anxious about Sirius. The boy hasn't got any limits.
An amusing and surprising trait in Sirius is that he has random spurs. He sort of does things that come off the top of his mind, not really thinking them through twice. With Sirius often things don't have to make sense, like he'd pull out and start eating a half eaten slice of toast he saved yesterday in his pockets. He also wouldn't mind eating a moulded pizza, like he did that one time when he found a slice hidden in James trunk under his socks. Or that time he found a nibbled muffin someone left on a table in the Gryffindor common room. Or his really bad habbit that makes Remus do squemish and girly sounds, finding chewed gum stuck under desks and chairs and pop it in his mouth chewing on it like its his own. There are other episodes that are too gross to mention, we'll leave them out for those of a quesier nature. Usually Sirius is the one to eat everything, disgusting things dont seem to affect him, the more they smell or look disgusting the more they appeal to him, his stomach seems to be made of some incredible stern stuff, like a black hole, he can throw anything in there and it just vanishes. (However, his stomach is not invincible, side affects might have applied once or twice. He usually applies for Remus for some nursing)
Reckless and careless would be another two words used to describe Sirius Orion Alphard Black. Maybe that's why he keeps getting in trouble so much. It's impossible not to know that Sirius is a trouble maker. all the school knows, all the student body, the teacher body, the caretaker and even his cat does. Sirius name has become synonymous (along with James's) for trouble. Sirius just can't keep his elegant Black nose out of trouble for two whole minutes. He has met his twin soul in James in that, finding a suitable partner for all his ingenious mischiefs. The other two marauders play along with their mischief, but often Sirius has to trick them in. Whatever his friends choose to do, Sirius still loves the marauders to bits. He is very fond of his three friends (or rather, two as he never quiet liked Peter, and still can't understand why they keep him taggin along).
For however a bad trouble maker Sirius is, you got to recognize his genius behind his pranks. Responsabile and sensible grown ups wouldn't admit it to his face, but there is some imagination and skill behind his tricks. However he doesnt usually long-term plan his pranks, thats usually his friend James there. Sirius is a person of passion, acts on the spurr of the moment, usually thinks things up quick on his feet and that brings us to another quality of Sirius - quick thinking and a smart mouth.
.
On June 28th 1959, the first son of Orion and Walburga Black was born in Grimmauld Place. He was given birth in their own house, being assisted as a mid-wife by Walburga’s cousin . The baby was a dark haired little angel with stormy gray eyes, who had two powerful lungs for such a tiny creature. He was soon called Sirius Black III, keeping the tradition of names going down the family line. The boy was called after his great-great-granduncle Sirius Black I, and his great-grandfather Sirius Black II. They chose to name him after the only ancestors who had the same eye colour as Sirius dark gray.
When Sirius was a little over a year old, he was given a brother, who they named Regulus. When they were still young, Sirius was very fond of his baby brother. He would play for hours on end with him. They where two beautiful boys, with aristocratic features and traditional Black good looks, with the iconic lustrous black hair.
When the boys started to grow older, they started to go their own separate ways. Sirius realized his younger brother was getting sucked into their parent’s belief and getting brain washed by their ideals. Sirius never liked their ideologies about blood elitism and their attraction and reverence for dark magic. They refused to be mixed with muggles or muggle borns, squibs and blood traitors, and even restored to disowning members from their own family like they had done with Sirius's great-uncle Marius Black just because he was a squib. Sirius also taught that it was ridiculous that people in his family had to marry people with respectable pureblood names, or get married to their cousins to keep the purity of their bloodlines. It was disgusting.
Sirius rejected the values his family imposed on him. Since a young age he sensed there must be something wrong in the beliefs his parents were trying to put on him. He never liked the fact that there was ‘good blood’ pure like the Black’s, and then there were 'scum and filth like the rest ' (his mother’s words). Sirius always opposed to this school of thought, at first ignoring his parents indictment by being passive aggressive, and later on fully on rebelling and going against all of their discrimination and morale.
Sirius had an unhappy childhood. He grew up to hate most of his family. As a teenager Sirius had become dark, with a bitter edge, resenting every minute he was forced to be part of the Black's family.
Sirius only broke free from the claustrophobia of his parent's suffocating impositions when he was invited to start attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. On the train ride he met his future best friend, James Potter. They were inseparable from that incident. They had also encountered one Severus Snape, and mortally offended his best friend Lilly when they insulted Snape. This earned Sirius Lilly's cold shoulder, Snape's mortal hatered, and James's whining as he quiet liked the girl but she didn't glance twice in his direction.
Once at Hogwarts Sirius Black was sorted into Gryffindor to everyone's, including his, and all his family, disbelief. He was in-proportionally happy with the new settings, and found it he quiet loved it in Gryffindor and wouldn't have it any other way. Making good friends with James Potter, Remus Lupin, (and somewhat) Peter Pettigrew, he found that he no longer needed to be reclusive, sarcastic and bitter. Sirius was allowed to show up who he truly was with his friends, and Hogwarts had brought the best of him out. He learned how to love friends, be loyal, be brave. At first he half did this to spite his parents and family, but soon he found out that it was only coming out from who he really was - a pure Gryffindor.
Whenever he was forced to go back home, Sirius took with him Gryffindor posters and banners just to spite his parents. They were still very disdainful of him being sorted into Gryffindor, and they couldn't understand how a child of their could end up in Gryffindor - it had never happened in the whole of family of Black. To show his difference from the rest of the family, and also to keep on rebelling against his parents, Sirius put up the Gryffindor banners and posters in his bedroom along with a poster or two of muggle girls in bikini, with a permanent-sticking charm. He wanted to emphasize that he was different from the rest of his family.
Pass a few years and we forward to Sirius's third year. In their third year the boys discovered that Lupin was a werewolf. This came as quiet a shocker to Sirius, because how did it take them this long to discover the truth about one of his best friends? But apart from that one time shocker, Sirius thought it was brilliant one of his best mates was a werewolf. Until he learned the nature of the pain Remus suffered once every month, the shedding of skin and flesh and bone to be transformed in another creature. Sirius was so sad and upset at the thought, that he wanted to invent a plan how they could help Lupin. After a lot of research and failed or disastrous spells, potions and other experiments, they almost gave up. Until Sirius came across a passage in his DADA book that said 'werewolves could tolerate the presence of other animals'. This ignited the genius idea in Sirius of finding a way how to transform themselves into animals. They kept Lupin in the dark about their idea, because if he knew he would discourage them and probably fess up to someone, because after all, human transfiguration into an animal, or also called mastering the art of animagus, was illegal. So Sirius kept the idea strictly between him James, and unfortunately Peter. Somehow the three of them without Remus's help managed to put in progress their plans for transforming into animals. This resulted in quiet a messy scene, because the three boys had half-managed to transform. They where still in human form but somehow transformed their persona, and their brain into an animal's. The spent three hours in that state, until Lupin walked in on them. Lupin had to babysit the three boys till the effect wore out and made sure no one found them in that state. Later he helped them tune out their spells, thanked them for their bravery and stupidity, and promised not to tell anyone of their illegal activity. Sirius would never forget the watery eyes Remus said this with. The boy's later perfected the art of animagus and Sirius became a big shaggy dog, James became a stag with really large antlers and Peter a small rat. Whenever full moon approached and Remus spent a painstakingly night alone in the shrieking shack, his friends accompanied him and tried to help. From their animagii form where later derived the nicknames, Sirius was Padfoot, James was Prongs, Peter was Wormtail and Remus was Moony because of his monthly problem.
Pass another couple of going from Hogwarts to being forced to Grimmauld Place, we get to Sirius's fifth year. In his fifth year, after he was forced to go back to Grimmauld Place, Sirius had a terrible row with his mother, he had had enough of her crazy family antics. It resulted in Sirius chucking in his trunk most of his belongings and running away from home. Walburga Black blasted Sirius off the family tree, disowning him. That night was a rainy night and Sirius didn't know where to go. He went to the only person he loved and trusted - James. James and his family welcomed Sirius in their home like a son.
