The day seemed to be going on as all the others, not a terrible amount of excitement and no fights as well as Aindriu knew. Oh gosh, if there was ever a big fight in this library..... the blond trailed off on the line of thought completely ignoring the student in front of him who wanted to check out a book.
"Excuse me?"
The slightly annoyed voice and face in his own brought the young librarian back to the real world and out of his little imaginings. "Oh sorry, sorry," he said quickly helping the student before the girl walked off with a huff. Aindriu went back to resting his chin on his hand from his seat at his desk watching the students that were left in the library do what it seemed anything but study as they should. He twisted his hair up into a braid out of boredom, though it seemed to do little good. A slight thud on his desk made him jerk his head up as Vanity landed next to him that black tortiseshell cat rubbing her up against. Her deep purrs made the young man smile as he ran a hand over her fur.
Aindriu could do this all day honestly, but it seemed Vanity had other ideas. As quickly as she had come she planned to disappear jumping off the desk and trotting across the floor. He stood to follow her only to have another student come up to his desk asking for help with a book. Well, he had to do his job and she did know her way around this place as she had shown him many times. The blond smiled at the student to try and hide his disappointment of not being able to follow Vanity through the books and just forget responsibilities for at least a few minutes.
While away from her boy, Vanity was seated to the side of the library doors watching the people come and leave with those bi-colored eyes of hers. It seemed like a pass time of the cat's, to just watch the people come and go from this place.

The library was not Benji’s setting of choice. He much preferred lounging about lazily in the Gryffindor common room to the smell of yellowed pages and brittle paper that lingered around here so thickly. Not to mention the stuffed shirts that seemed to find their ways here. So quill-eager and scholar-happy. It made Benji’s proud, procrastinating spirit feel a little uneasy and out of place to be surrounded by them. But never-the-less, he was here on a mission, and wouldn’t leave until he’d completed it.
But who ever said he couldn’t have a little fun, too?
Passing through the gathering of tables in the center of the library, with a large, rosette-spotted cat at his ankles, Benji gave a loud whistle. His boots thudded and clomped. A few students turned head to look at the source of the disruption - most of them disgruntled and prepared to yell - but immediately froze upon the site of Benji. And he was a sight to stare at: he was like a colorful, six foot tapestry. About four feet of it was a thick nest of red hair. And he must have had at least five pounds of makeup masked onto his face. Though he was used to receiving stares and second glances. Even after all of this time at Hogwarts, he was still as spectacle for other students and staff. And no matter what he did, rumors seemed to surround him.
Though it wasn’t as if he was careful to make sure he didn’t do anything worth talking about. And he certainly wasn’t good at hiding those gleaming, sharp fangs. Whenever he spoke, it was apparent. And there was nothing he could do about it.
“C’mon Jasmine, let’s go ask the librarian where it is.” He yawned, absently patting the head of an unsuspecting Hufflepuff boy as he made his way to the front desk. The boy ducked in a delayed reaction, dusting off his head as though Benji had dropped a tiny worm into his hair. But the half-vampire didn’t notice - he was already closing in on the blond who was taking care of things. And he was wearing a smirk. “Yo, librarian!” He called, cupping a hand around his painted lips and his opposite hand slamming on the desk in front of him. Through all of this, he ignored the student next to him, though they’d been waiting for help before him. “I need you to help me find a book. And maybe a new heart, because with a face like that... you’re breaking mine.”

Today just seemed to be one of those days, the library was evidently quite popular with the students. Well, Aindriu guessed that was a good thing but at the same time it also made him wish to sneak out and take a nap. Oh that sounded heavenly to the tired librarian, but that wouldn't help the young student in front of him with their school work. He smiled at the student sending them off in the correct direction of the massive library only to be handed another student directly afterward it seemed.
Aindriu's ears perked at the sudden increase in the volume of his library. Well, the library he didn't own it so he really shouldn't claim it but still. The librarian ignored it at first hoping that whoever it was would quiet down soon enough, it was a library after all. He continued to help the boy infront of him, pushing some of his blond hair behind his ear that had fallen from the braid he hadn't bothered to tie back.
He almost jumped, actually he probably did and just didn't want to admit it to himself, when the loud student didn't stop but came up to him and that heavy hand hitting his desk. It was best to just ignore such things right? Not give into students that seemed to be seeking attention. "In a minute,"Aindriu said not able to completely ignore anyone like that, it just... it wasn't right.
Sending off the other student on his way, Aindriu moved picking up the book off his desk. He stood up finally looking at the student that saw it so important to be so loud in such a place. To say the boy was different was a way of simplifying the look this other one this had. It reminded him of his older brother when he would pick on him for his more feminine features, Aindriu shook his head to dispel such thoughts. "You...," Aindriu was about to say looking back down at his desk picking up the few other books that needed to be put away. Then what the student said finally clicked in his mind making him look up at the taller eccentric boy, "Wait, what?" He may have heard what the student said, but the words were completely lost on him as evident as the confused look on his face.

Benji had not been a guest to the library for more than a mere few minutes, yet, had already enough confusion to have a small group of students eagerly skittering off to the tall, double-doored exit. A few pointed and whispered as they left. The brave, few Gryffindors sitting at a table to the far right of the room (just far enough to keep a satisfactory eye on Benji’s menacing, tall frame), huddled close together as if trying to keep safe. It wasn’t long before the teacher and student were practically alone together - encased in the large room by endless walls of books so thickly slathered by dust, Benji would’ve been forced to squint to make out their titles, had he even tried to.
But he was too distracted by the beautiful librarian standing afore him. Benji had an immense fascination with all things beautiful: men and women alike. And unfortunately for this teacher, Benji was rather fond of his looks. Those soft, luciously slick curtains of blond hair and the feminine curves of his pinkish lips called forth memories of porcelain beauties on the shelves of his father’s home - gentle and fragile like the children they were meant to entertain, but far too precious to allow to be tainted by grubby, snot-clad fingers. Benji couldn’t help but wonder if this teacher served the same purpose as those dolls, or perhaps the rule his father had given for them applied here: you can look, Benji, but don’t you dare touch.
Too bad that Benji liked to break rules. Call it forbidden fruit syndrome, but he just couldn’t keep away from things that were held out of his reach. When he happened to stumble across a man like this one, he didn’t usually allow him out of his sight until he’d secured a second meeting between them. And it was only unfortunate for this staff member that he had already earned Benji’s interest. If not by being beautiful alone, by brushing him off with a gentle, “In a minute,” before going back to the student who’d been waiting before Benji.
Benji did not like being pushed aside. Not one bit. It made him dangerously impatient - and given that he was already irritable during the day, it was a recipe for disaster. This teacher, librarian - whatever the hell he was - had no idea what kind of explosive he’d just infused.
While the other student was being helped, Benji tapped the toe of his black boot incessantly and his arms crossed tightly over his red sweater. He cleared his throat once. Then a second time. Nothing he did seemed to catch the interest of the blond, though Benji could have sworn that he’d startled him a few times - but maybe he had only imagined that slight jump of the shoulders.
After a few, long, unassisted moments had passed, Benji resigned to waiting (though, not happily). He took to watching Jasmine leap from table to table - her silver coat glistening and tasseled tail swishing behind her - and admired how elegant and graceful she was, despite her abnormally massive size. If he had big feet like that, he certainly wouldn’t be leaping about like a unicorn in its prime: he’d trip and go rolling away like a Humpty Dumpty that was incapable of shattering. “Jasmine!” He called, hooking his finger and drawing it back and forth, “Get your furry little tush over here!” Immediately, she glanced up at him - her emerald eyes full of intelligence and something else unfathomable. Benji could have sworn that she was smirking at him in the instant before she turned, coiled backwards, and lunged straight into the flock of Gryffindor’s with an accomplished, “Prrreow!”
Benji laughed as they scattered in different directions, books clutched to their chests and casting bewildered, foul names in his direction. In the meanwhile, Jasmine trotted to Benji’s side with her chest puffed out proudly, her long, tuffed ears pricked forward. She sat next to him, gazing up with a grin in her eyes. It was impossible for Benji to hold in a small chuckle as she did, his head shaking. “Damn cat.” Was all he said.
This was the reason that she and Benji got along so well. They were kindred spirits.
By the time that Jazzie had settled down and Benji’s gaze had returned to the teacher, the Hufflepuff had been sent on her way. Finally, he would receive the attention he’d demanded. The blond stood, taking his book with him, and, babydoll-blue eyes rounding on the half-vampire, said, “You... Wait, what?” Clearly, Benji had confused the poor man. And clearly, he just didn’t care. He might have even enjoyed it.
Okay, so he did.
“I think you heard what I said, Beautiful.” Benji tossed a shelf of his wild hair behind a broad shoulder, leaning forward to place each of his palms on the cold, worn surface of the desk. His dark eyes were relentless upon the older of the two, looking at him as if he was something tasty to eat, or was something on display at a shop - something that Benji would like very, very much to have for himself. “You’re breaking my heart with your beauty - my poor body is weak at the mere sight of you. I can barely force myself to tear away from you. You’re just... ravishing, darling. Why are you teasing me, with a face like that?” As he spoke, his voice low and potent, he steadily leaned over the table, easing one knee onto the surface, and soon the second one. He crawled forward with stealth to match Jasmine’s, reaching out to grab the male’s shirt and pull him down to face him. “Are you trying break my heart?”
Yup. This guy had no idea what he was in for.

This girl, this sweet young girl asking for his help, why couldn't he have more students like this? He was never meant to deal with giving detentions and students that were so... bold. Was bold the right word to describe the rather loud young man in front of his desk as well? Well, it seemed to fit well enough and he wasn't about to use some of the other cruel words. Bold wasn't to cruel was it?
No, no it wasn't well that's if he ever told the student such thoughts, but to keep such evil things even in ones head.Ah, this was getting him nowhere and leaving him with a blank look across his face before he had been able to send off the girl before he had gone on to that student. That student, that also seemed like a horrible way to address the young man but he didn't know the boy's name and Aindriu guessed it was better then him or boy.
Then there was the student's cat, well he guessed it was his after he had called her Jasmine. She was a beautiful creature, big but very sure of herself it seemed. Well, that was good in a cat because a non-confident cat was a poor thing indeed. It made him think where his own little Vanity was, she had disappeared before this one had come and now he wished she was here. It always seemed easier to deal with harder situations if he had her around.
Though the young librarian was quickly brought from the thoughts of his cat to the real world again with this student's words. They were most definitely the last things he thought would come from the other. He was most likely four or five years then Aindriu himself and he was speaking in such ways. Such ways that made the older blond blush not use to words of this manner of words from anyone. He had no guidance, nothing at all to pull from to know what to do in such a moment, and so there he was... stuck.
Then, the student was on the desk pulling Aindriu closer to him by his shirt. Was it possible to be embarrassed and scared at the same time? He hadn't a clue but he was quite sure that it was happening to him now. The young librarian had no clue what to do now or what the young man would do next, half the words the other had said lost on him due to him merely trying to figure this all out. Aindriu opened his mouth to speak but closed it again at a loss for words at the moment.
