Evening was nearly afoot; the sun was falling slowly but surely, dimming the Hogwarts grounds just slightly and casting a soft light across the courtyard, where a good number of students still loitered. Some of them were socializing, some partaking in horseplay with their wands, some solitary ones studying or reading, and one just arriving, dropping his bag on a bench and perching beside it. This particular student was in one of his rare, slightly sulky moods, his morning-sky eyes a bit cloudy as he surveyed his surroundings. Lex spotted quite a few people he knew, but none that he wanted to talk to. Instead, he sat with his back to the stone wall his seat was pressed against, crossed his arms and shut his eyes, blocking out the soft sunlight and tuning his hearing away from the chattering around him. In a few minutes, he was sure, his bad mood would clear and he’d be himself again. He was just throwing a miniature, internal tantrum, and had to wait until its fire dwindled to a small, innocuous flame.
He had reason to be in such a mood, of course. He’d been foolish enough to take Muggle Studies this year, a subject that he ignorantly thought would fascinate him. Instead, it had him slouched in the back of the classroom, snickering and causing small disturbances behind the professor’s back - generally being a form of amusement to the other students that didn’t feel like learning about non-magical folk. It wasn’t that, though - it was a subject that interested him, at least a little. If only the teacher wasn’t so damn boring, he would have had a passable grade in the class - but as the professor drawled on in a faint monotone, Elexrian refused to do the justice of listening. So of course he’d been called out, and the professor had even had the nerve to deduct five points from Gryffindor because he thought Lex was being “cheeky”. What a git.
He fumed quietly to himself, appearing completely calm to anyone that happened to look over, and then opened his eyes. He felt better. Straightening up, he scoped the courtyard with a soft, open expression, willing anyone to come up and socialize.

She hadn't exactly been planning on going outside today, it was so close to the evening hours. However she was finding herself feeling a tad bit on the suffocated side of things and figured some time outside would do her well. At least out there it was wide open and there were many places for her to hide or skitter off to if she didn't feel like talking to anyone. Her common room made her nervous, she was so twitchy and touchy as of late that Pandorah feared she may explode upon some unwary person. While losing her temper was no big deal normally there were times she didn't want to just blow up on someone who did not deserve it. It was always best, and a great deal more fun, when she gave someone a piece of her mind at a time in which they needed it most, least in her opinion.
Sasha was not with her, the feline had preferred to stay back on her mistresses bed this time. The leggy girl didn't blame her for the most part, the cat wasn't big on socializing anyway, unless she could chase things that is. The only things that Pan brought with her was her wand of course and a small notebook with quill so that if she had any brilliant ideas she could jot them down. Also she could keep track of people if they were misbehaving, just in case because you never knew what would happen.
After she had gone outside she walked around for a bit, not really in any direction in particular. Oddly enough she soon spotted someone she knew, someone she knew really well. In fact this person was the only one that knew her at all, which she often felt sorry for him about. Elexrian, her twin brother, sorted into Gryffindor was sitting off by himself on a bench. She watched him before walking over, they didn't get to see each other very much with all of her exams and classes and studies and responsibilities as a Prefect. It made her sad and she vowed that she should try and make more time with him, especially with all the trouble she had been having lately. With him she could share nearly everything and that was a rare thing.
He finally opened his eyes and while he was looking around she walked over to him and smiled brightly. “Hello you, how are you doing?” She didn't wait for an invitation but sat down near him and placed her notebook under the bench since she probably wouldn't be needing it anytime soon. “I haven't gotten to spend a lot of time with you lately. I miss you.” Turning so she could face him fully her eyes, the same color as his, lit upon him and she gave him an apologetic smile. “I've been so busy lately. Oh, before you ask most of the rumors are not true. Yes I did end up kissing Sirius Black, your housemate, but it was mostly accidental and that was all that happened.” Pan knew that her brother would probably have a ton of questions for her so she started out with that. The last thing he probably wanted was for her to be associated with a playboy like the Gryffindor Black boy.

Elexrian felt Pandorah approaching a little before she arrived; well, it was more like he saw her hair swishing slightly as she walked in his peripheral. He didn’t acknowledge her until she spoke; in fact, it was difficult for him to acknowledge her at all. He’d heard a few things about her - more rumor, he hoped, than fact - and was terrified that he’d bring them up without really meaning to. It wasn’t something he looked forward to discussing with his sister, only because if he did he was sure he’d get up to some murderous type of mood and have an internal homicidal rampage, which just didn’t seem good for his mental health. He kept quiet and watched her mutely, eyebrow cocked, waiting for her to greet him and keeping his impulses in check for once. He was, beyond everything else, obviously pleased to see her. His sister was one of the few people that could brighten his day entirely, and even though she sometimes irked him and he her, there weren’t many things that could replace the comfort she brought him - possibly because she was the only thing that had been constantly present in his childhood.
“Hey,” he managed a whole bucket load of warmth in his tone, ignoring his internal grievances as soon as he saw her smile, “I’m okay. Had a pretty long day, though. How are you?” a tiny smile tugged at the corners of his lips and he pulled his bag from the bench to his lap so she could sit down beside him. After she placed her notebook under the bench, he copied her movements with his bag, and then crossed his arms, leaning back again as he’d been before. He fixed her with a calm stare, smile still in place, and nodded in agreement; “I miss you too. So does Bastian.” the calico cat he was referring to was an odd one; although he was incredibly attached to Lex, he was absolutely addicted to Pan for some reason - when he was idle in the boy’s dormitory with Lex, he was glued to his lap, but at home, he would spring into Pandorah’s lap if he got the chance, whether she liked it or not.
It felt good to have her around, to say the least - until she got around to that delicate subject. While she spoke, he drew his arms up to his chest, crossing them tightly, and fixed his eyes ahead of himself, even though she was looking at him. His expression was completely neutral, his jaw set, the smile gone. He didn’t feel much better about her pointing out that it was only a kiss; the hell if it was only a kiss, it was a kiss that Sirius Black was on the other end of, and he wasn’t exactly the person he wanted to see with his sister.
“Really?” he replied, his tone quite flat, “I’d heard a number of other things. I don’t believe any of them, obviously, but it bothers me to know that people even have the nerve to say them. Especially to me.” he shook his head, and when he spoke again, he sounded a little less calm, but still managed tto keep his voice down - so as not to make a scene. “Pan, why Sirius Black? Why did you choose him, eh? I mean, anyone else, it’s none of my business, but Merlin - the bloke’s got a reputation, y’know?” he shot her a sharp glance, “There wasn’t anything else, you’re sure? He didn’t try anything else, did he? He didn’t make you kiss him? Were you drunk? Oh god, Pan, were you drunk?” he was coming apart just slightly, and he hadn’t wanted that to happen. It was only that he was painfully protective of her, and still imagined her as a little girl even though she was only a blink of an eye younger than him.

"Boggart. A shape shifter that prefers to live in dark, confined spaces, taking the form of the thing most feared by the person it encounters."
After three hours, the words in the textbook were beginning to blend together. It was too bad that there was a huge assignment on boggarts due the next morning. Setting the textbook beside him, Zachery rubbed his eyes. It had been a long day, and it was proving to be a chilly night. Nightmares had kept him up all night, causing all his classes to droll on forever. It seemed like the teachers would never shut up. Thank God it was evening.
Leaning back against the bench he sat on, he surveyed the courtyard, taking in the view. He noticed the twins sitting on a bench not too far from where he sat. He'd seen them around before- He actually was in Muggle Studies with the male. They had such a close relationship; he could tell by the ease in which they talked with one another, and the trust in their eyes. He felt the same about his sister, Melonie. She was a third year at the school, but had been placed in Ravenclaw. He didn't see much of her except during lunch or dinner, when the houses gathered.
Standing, he stretched, and gave one final look at the two before picking up his book again. Only ten more pages to go in the chapter, and maybe, just maybe, he could finish his paper. Sighing, he opened the book to the dog eared page, and thumbed the corner as he began to read again.

Bastian and Sasha actually got along, which was odd because her feline was such a prima donna that she didn't really like anyone or anything. She smiled when he mentioned his own cat and nodded. She remembered how often the silly thing liked to be all over her, it was probably because she was female. She didn't often mind unless Sasha was wanting to be on her then it was rather hilarious watching her be a bitch to Bastian.
It was really amusing watching him change as she mentioned the subject of Sirius Black. His entire demeanor changed and she had to fight back a laugh, as it was a grin slipped on her lips and she hastily covered them up with the back of her hand her eyes still smiling anyway. Pandorah hadn't been exactly sure how Lexi felt about Sirius since they were housemates. Their personalities seemed somewhat similar but in a lot of ways they were very different. She had figured that they were either friends or hated each other and was now sure that her brother wasn't exactly fond of the Black boy. There was no way she was going to live this down in his eyes, what would he think if he knew that she actually liked the damn guy. It was hard enough for her to admit to herself but she wasn't that stupid or blind to keep herself in a lie either.
“People will say anything to anyone especially if it is about rumors and to the siblings or friends.” She felt that he wanted to start yelling at her, like he was more then just a little upset and a frown pulled at her mouth while he kept talking. “I didn't choose him! What do you think I am mad?” Her voice rose and was a bit higher in pitch showcasing how upset she was. “I know he is a playboy who doesn't care for girls except for the things he can do with them. It just happened I'm not kidding.” Her eyes flashed angrily and she placed her hands in her lap to keep them to herself. It wasn't his fault he was mad, she would be in his place too. Still it bothered her and right now the last thing she needed was the one person she trusted acting this way.
“It was mostly my fault. No I wasn't drunk you twit I don't even drink!” That one just got him a flat look. “I was following him since he was alone, figuring he was up to something. Got locked in a dark room with him, he scared me so I turned around and punched him in the face.” With that she smirked and just shook her head. “It was bad, he got a black eyes right away. I felt off about it cause that was not my intention, so I was checking it out to see how bad it really was and he just sorta...kissed me.” Her pale cheeks stained pink with the memories flooding back in her mind. “Will you stop that, honestly! Yes it was a kiss and damnit it was good too. But nothing else happened. The only reason why his hands were on my butt when we fell out was because we fell out, simple as that. He had to grab something.”
Was Lexi going to understand this or just blow it all out of proportion? “Nothing else has happened I swear, and nothing probably will. Besides I like someone just not sure I want to do anything about it.” Then she saw someone nearby, some boy a Slytherin in fact. One brow quirked up and she fixed her gaze right on him. He wasn't actually eavesdropping or anything that she could tell but he had moved out of the corner of her eyes so immediately she had been distracted by him. Turning to her brother she whispered. “We need to try and keep our voices down just in case, I don't need more rumors flying about.”

He had to admit to himself, even in his anger and confusion, that he may have been being a little ridiculous. He couldn’t imagine Pandorah drunk, much less doing anything of that nature when she was. It was only that at some point in his life, he’d appointed himself some sort of chivalrous protector of most females, and although he knew somewhere inside that she could take care of herself in most ways, it was difficult for him not to get emotional about this type of thing. It wasn’t the actual event that bothered him, or so much the fact that it was a guy with a reputation for womanizing; it was the rumors - he couldn’t stand the idea of people tossing her name around like a piece of trash and attaching it to vulgar things that he couldn’t even imagine associating with his sister. Another thing he had to admit to himself was how amusing the actual story was - when he got past his flailing, protective dramatics, somewhere in the back of his head he found the entire situation hilarious. While his temper flared internally when he heard that he’d been the one to kiss her, he took a little comfort from the realization that she’d at least assaulted him beforehand. And blackened one of his eyes, at that.
He managed a small laugh, but there was little humor to it. It was mainly a badly hidden release of complete exasperation. Lex leaned back on the wall again and sucked in a breath. He needed to calm down; it’d all just been a little much to pile on him at once, and he was angry about too many things in unison. He slowed his breathing, counted slowly in his mind, then turned his eyes back to her. His tone wasn‘t as controlled as he wished it to be, but it was a hell of a lot better than before. “I don’t like this, Pan. Really. Maybe he’s an alright guy, but I wouldn’t want you around him much.” never mind that she’d apparently enjoyed the kiss - he didn’t even want to acknowledge that. He just replied sourly, “Yeah, I’m sure he had to grab something. He could’ve easily grabbed an arm, or something else solid - it’s not the most convenient thing to hold on to, is it?” again, he crossed his arms tightly and leaned back. Why couldn’t she have stayed small when he grew up? It would have made things so much easier on him. He supposed she tried to make it better by saying she was interested in someone other than Black.
“Oh, and who would that be? Another one of our resident Casanovas?” he replied, sarcasm tinged with an edge of hostility; he was distracted from his verbal assault by her slight movements, her gaze and brow shifting as she apparently noticed something. Without moving, he followed her gaze, and grimaced as a familiar Slytherin came into view. Familiar, yes, but he’d never really spoken to him and couldn’t draw up a name to give him. Lex wasn’t all that observant, especially now that he was focused on being a general sister-Nazi, so he hadn’t noticed the boy until his twin did. Curiously, he didn’t seem to be listening, but he had the feeling that they’d been noticed. Logically. Because he was being loud. Feeling a bit foolish but refusing to show it, he looked back at her, lowering his voice. “Alright. Just promise you won’t get yourself into something like this again. If I have to kill someone, you’ll have to live with the crushing guilt,” he was teasing, of course. Well… a little.

Pandorah had never been the type of girl to get drunk and fool around. As it was she had never been the type of girl to get drunk at all. Not to say she hadn't tried a few things here and there from simple curiosity but she was moody as it was with temper issues so doing anything that might impair her judgment was not a good idea. She should feel majorly insulted that he would even suspect such a thing but he was her brother and worried about her so she wasn't as upset as she would be were it anyone else.
Knowing Lexi he probably wanted to strangle her for being 'stupid' in his eyes. She was supposed to be the sensible one, not fall for things that were obvious or stupid. Sirius Black may not be entirely stupid but he was ridiculously obvious. He was the playboy that her brother had the horrid reputation of being, though Lexi was mostly just a huge flirt. Not that she was falling for the boy, not at all...but she was a tiny bit mesmerized especially after that kiss. “You don't want me around him much?” Her tone was incredulous and her eyes went rather wide. Wow, she really wasn't sure if she should be mad or not at that, she was just too shocked. “I am not exactly an idiot I do know how to handle myself.” Now she switched to being affronted and gave her twin quite the glare.
“Maybe he could have easily grabbed at something else but I think where my fingers are was much worse then where his hands were!” She snapped at him, her voice rising a moment before she forced herself to just calm down. “What else was he supposed to grab when we were falling out of the door, my arm? We were right up against one another, our lips were doing the damned tango for Merlin's sake.” Sure she didn't have to give him the detail that she did but she was irritated and Pandorah wasn't exactly the best thinking before hand in the first place. Smart though she may be she often acted first then thought about it later.
She stood at his next words, ignoring that he finally seemed to calm some and spoke again. “Do you think that little of me? Do you honestly think that I would just easily like any pretty boy with a cocky attitude that happened to show some sort of interest in me?” Now she even had her hands on her hips and was scowling so darkly at him that he would probably guess, since he knew her oh so well, she was on the verge of violence and really hurt. “For your information the other boy is Castor Prewett, a housemate of mine and one of your housemates younger siblings. He is nice, cute, and quirky.” Pandorah stepped back a moment and looked toward that other person before finally lowering her own voice even if she had already told him to do so. “I can get into anything I want. I am not a child and definitely not stupid. I don't have to sit around and be prim and proper, if I want to snog someone in the damn hallway in front of a crowd I will!” Reaching down she picked up her notebook then made a swipe at him with it, intending to slap him upside the head though not all that hard. “Let me make my own mistakes please. I will never learn anything otherwise.”

OOC I took forever and it's kind of short, I'm sorryy. <3

As soon as he’d calmed, she was speaking again, on her feet now. He glowered at her from his sitting position, icy colored eyes clouded; he knew he’d said the wrong thing, and the last thing he needed to do was urge her farther towards the edge. He toyed with the idea in his mind for a moment - how far could he push his dear sister? - but dismissed it when he saw exactly how angry she was. He threw up his hands in mock surrender and leaned back on his seat. He was a bit bothered by his twin’s sudden height advantage, but dismissed that thought as well. For a little, he’d slapped that “yes-I’m-listening” face across his features, eyebrows cocked, expression serious, looking at attention while he tuned her out just slightly. He was pulled out of this little stupor quite quickly, when he felt a swat against the side of his head. He blinked and held his hand to it, then glared up at her.

“You want to make your own mistakes?” he snorted, waving a dismissive hand. “Fine, I’m not dad. I won’t tell you what to do.” he settled back into a relaxed position, smoothing down his hair where she’d hit him. It hadn’t hurt very much - he didn’t think she’d fully intended to hurt him - but he was still slightly bothered. “Besides, it’s not even you I’m mad at. If I find Black, I’ll…” his voice trailed off and he cleared his throat, then looked back up at her. “Prewett?” he was going to say that he approved, just to possibly push her buttons a little bit, but he only nodded. And then, remarkably enough (though not entirely for him, to be frank) he looked at the ground, then back at her, the ground, the sky, his shoes, and then he began shaking, his arms moving down to hold his sides just slightly, his lips shut tight to block out the impending noise - because he was pretty sure that if he let it out now, it’d be the end of him. But he simply couldn’t stop it; over a matter of seconds, the shaking became more persistent, and he snorted once and burst into a spell of laughter. [/ul]

She couldn't stop from rolling her eyes when he said he was only looking out for her. If anyone needed looking out for it was him. He was far more sociable and friendly than she probably ever would be and that could easily set him up for pain and possible heartbreak if there was a girl he ended up liking. Thinking on it now Pan would not be surprised if there were several girls, even some boys, that probably already liked him. He did have that ridiculous charm about him. Still she understood his concern even if it was completely obnoxious at this point in time.
It was a little too obvious that he had started to tune her out by his reaction to the swat. Pan felt like hitting him again just because of his impertinence but just ended up shaking her head and rolling her eyes. It wouldn't do any good though she might get him back later. In fact she decided to wait until he was in flirt mode with some girl to get him back. Either she would just casually come up and say something totally revealing and rude, or hit him again. Perhaps she enjoyed violence too much if she was constantly hitting people and things. Oh well, there wasn't anything wrong with swatting people when they said or did annoying things...was there?
“Well I sure hope you wouldn't want to be dad.” Her tone was dry but there was a slight disapproving sneer lingering on her lips. It was well known what Pandorah thought of their father and his wonderful ways of being mostly hands off but then trying to dictate what was best. She sat back down next to him and quirked a brow. “Oh? What will you do to Sirius? I doubt he would care anyway. I am probably just a hopeful piece of...well I'm sure you know what I mean. I doubt he actually likes me anyway.” Though she shrugged her shoulders she did actually seem rather annoyed at what she had to say. The more she thought about it the more she was pretty sure the Gryffindor Black boy probably only wanted to get in her pants, like he did all the other girls. Pandorah Koenig was not ever going to be just a notch on some guys bedpost.
Oh the expression she had at his laughter. Both brows drew together, eyes narrowed and her full lips flattened into a very unhappy line. Without even thinking about it she stuck her hands out and went to shove him rather hard with the intention of making him fall off the bench and on to the ground. What was he laughing at anyway? “What are you finding so damned funny?!” Her words were growled out from between clenched teeth. The only thing that saved him from something meaner or more painful was because she had no idea why he was laughing. All she could fathom was because of Castor since that was the last thing he had said before the eruption of laughter. That actually angered her and she stuck her fists in her lap and dug her nails into her palms so she didn't actually physically harm him.
ooc: That's fine, don't let it happen again! *stare* Lol J/K, no worries.
