It was a fairly nice day, in the girl’s opinion. The sun was out, and the weather wasn’t too harshly warm or cold. It was just right; so today the girl decided to venture out to the lawn. This would probably the first time since her fourth year since she has come out there, and she saw some first years learning to fly and some new Quidditch players practicing their flying outside of general practice.
Normally she would pay more attention to these things simply out of fascination, but she walked further across the lawn to be to herself. She decided she wanted to be away from those people; they were in larger quantity and closer to the school. So, Sethunya walked farther from the school to be away from the crowd. She wanted to practice something in a bigger element as not to affect the school or some people. And because of what she was planning on practicing she wanted to stay away from the courtyard, and because she wanted to be outside, she stayed away from being in the classroom.
She had never been too good at this, and though she was able to find out what her patronus was during her last few weeks as a fourth year, she was only able to conjure it once; and because she was excited to find out it hadn’t stayed in form for long since her concentration and been altered by her excitement. That was exactly what she decided she wanted to try… She wanted to practice concentrating on her patronus, she had no reason to other than to see if she could, but that was good enough for the Ravenclaw. She placed the books that she had decided to bring with her down on the grass, then stood facing away from Hogwarts, she tried thinking about what would be the best and happiest memory to use for her patronus; though the only things she could think of were finding out what her patronus form was the year before, and finding Petunia the same year she had received her letter… Maybe receiving her letter would be a good enough memory? But she felt as though none of those were strong enough to be able to hold the patronus.
Holding her wand firmly in her hand she said the words with such power that you’d think simply with the words she could conjure it, but her wand just made a small blue-white light and fizzled out weakly. Sethunya got nothing, but then again, she hadn’t really been thinking of anything either. Maybe that was her problem; she had too many things on her mind that she couldn’t seem to just focus on her memory for this, or it was because she didn’t have anything on her mind at all, not even what she needed to do for homework – which was quite unusual since homework was often a task on her mind.
But the girl was persistent, so, she tried again and again and again. Every time she would use a different emotion and different memory, but nothing seemed strong enough; of course she kept at it because it was something she really did want to get down. She wanted to be able to conjure the patronus in case it ever became something that she would need in the future. Of course, she was much better at transfiguration, charms, divination even, than she was the Defense Against the Dark Arts. Even the professor, on occasion, showed his frustration with her in her lack of being able to learn the material he was teaching. She was simply horrible at that class, even though she could master to some degree her other studies.
Sethunya was utterly lame in such areas of difficulty as it seemed. Or rather, areas that seemed to be difficult to her specifically.
“Oh this is awful,” she groaned before she threw her wand near her books, without breaking it, and sat down near her stuff. She had become frustrated with her lack of skills, and now she was irritated and not really in the mood to learn anything else. She just wanted to be by herself, granted people decided to leave her alone… But honestly, she didn’t really want to be by herself either. She was simply confused, and upset that she wasn’t able to grasp a concept that seemed so easy to others.
Sethunya’s rat, Petunia, nudged herself into the girl’s palm. Sethunya smiled and then lay back on the ground, placing the rat on her stomach. The rat climbed over the girl and then laid on her shoulder, as the girl began to speak in frustration. “I cannot seem to be able to conjure the patronus. I’m not going to pass the dark arts class otherwise,” one could since the sadness in her tone if one were listening to her. “But it would be nice to be able to at least do something.”
She closed her eyes as she let out a deep sigh. This wasn’t going to help her conjure the patronus, but she needed a break… And she was tired of trying at the moment. A long moan formed on her lips as she laid there, her arms alongside her frame, and her legs bent though lying on the ground. Her robe, clothes, and hair were sprawled on the grass.

[/center] Sirius sat on his bed, stretching his arms over his head and yawning. He'd woken up to another morning of his sixth year here at old Hogwarts. He'd woken quite late mind you, but Sirius was never an early bird, why change now? The dormitory was already deserted. He glanced at one of the windows, the light curtains fluttering in the breeze. He got up from his bed, dressed in nothing more than his boxers, and walked for the window. He looked outside but quickly retreated as his eyes hurt from all the brightness. 'Gnnh" he groaned, and walked away from the window rubbing his eyes.
He headed for the bathroom instead. A morning shower always shook him awake,
Ten minutes later he emerged from the bathroom, dressed in a new pair of underwear, smelling fresh, with his long her still wet and the ends dripping water allover the carpet.
Sirius gave the last yawn, stretched his sinewy arms on either side and started getting dressed. He pulled on a nice pair of holey jeans, put on his school shirt, though why he had done this he had no idea, as he wasn't intending on attending any class today, and rolled the sleeves up messily. He hated long sleeves.
He hopped into his chunky boots, pushed his long hair behind his ears, grabbed his wand and stuffed it in his jean's back pocket. World take in a deep breath and brace yourself for another day of Sirius Black, for he hopped down the dormitory stairs and kicked out of the common room.
Sirius made a pit-stop at the kitchens, and got himself some toast and jam tarts from the houselves, He thanked them and marched away, happily eating his late breakfast and wondering were his fellow Marauders where at. He decided he'd take a stroll outside, see if he'd find them sprawled somewhere on the lawn.
He ate on his toast and strolled lazily outside, looking at faces in the crowds pooled over the lawns. No sight of his friends yet. Sirius ventured a little further down the lawns, and having finished on his toast, pulled out of his pockets one of the jam tarts. Stuffing one whole in his face, he spotted someone a little further ahead sprawled on the lawn, and from this distance thought it could be Remus, there where even books around the figure.
When he got closer, he realized that it wasn't Remus, but someone made of a much much smaller frame. It also happened to be of the wrong gender to be Remus, because it was a girl. Sirius made a mental note to get his eyesight checked. Just as he was about to turn and walk away, he heard the girl give a moan. One of Sirius's brow shot up, she sounded anguished. When Sirius caught sight of a rat standing on her shoulder, he quickly knew what was the matter - or thought he did.
" Do my ears hear a damsel in distress?" Sirius said, his tone of voice serious "Fear not mademoiselle, Sirius Black is here to save your day." He bent down and picked the rat from the girl's shoulder, and held it neatly in both hands. He was used to holding rats, he sometimes held Peter when he transformed, however with Peter he was usually squeezing him or holding him upside down from his tail out of annoyance,
"There, there, it's gone. It won't harm you now" said Sirius, puffing out his chest like had done a heroic action. He was such a goof, saving the girl from her own pet. But for a minute there he had actually thought she was scared of the rat.

As Sethunya lay there she started to feel better about the fact that she was discouraged. Just lying about on a somewhat chilly, though incredibly nice day, made her worries go away that she’d never be able to conjure her patronus again. It would happen one day; she just needed to give it some time. She was only in her fifth year, it could take too much longer to learn how to conjure the patronus and actually keep the concentration on it for a good amount of time. She just needed a better memory, one that is honestly good enough to keep it going. Of course, her memories are so vacant and inept that she seems so boring… But most of her time is filled with silly riddles and books.
After the moan and her nerves calmed slightly from the earlier attempts, she began to hum a little song her mother had showed her from her journey to a muggle place. It was actually a quite brilliant song; and Sethy quite liked the tune. Her eyes were still closed as she um the song to herself and her pet rat.
Suddenly her shoulder felt much lighter, she could hear the violent squeaking of her rat and her eyes instantly opened to see a boy standing before her. She stood quickly, looking at the boy that happened to be taller than her; and he was holding her rat in his fingers. If he had said something to her she hadn’t heard him speak; she had been so calm and into humming the song that she hadn’t paid much attention to her surroundings.
Sethy looked from the boy, who seems awfully familiar looking – she must have seen him around the halls or in the dining hall on occasion with his friends or something – to her rat. “Do you mind giving me back my rat?” She blinked at the boy, her green eyes focused intently on her rat in hopes that if he decided to drop her she’d be able to catch her before she fell to the ground.
“And you shouldn’t go about taking things off people’s shoulder unless you know the reason it is there,” Sethunya looked at the boy with her eyes rolling. “Now, I would really like it if you gave me back my little Petunia.” Her voice seemed a bit too shrill at the ending of that phrase, but she didn’t much care right now.
For a moment she was a little distracted when she looked at her rat and then back to the boy who was holding her. He was slightly taller than herself, actually a lot taller if she calculated the distance as well. Though, this boy was quite attractive in the overly-confident in his looks kind of way, and his hair… Let’s not go there, Sethy, she thought to herself. She did find herself being attracted to boy that were confident, though over-confidence was off putting, but she did like boy that wore their hair longer… Oh stop, Sethy.
She put her hand out so the boy could put the rat in her hand. She stood waiting for the boy to get over himself and just hand her Petunia, the poor little rat looked petrified in his fingers.
