He was completely lost, no matter how horrible that sounded for a teacher. Well he guessed even the more experienced staff got lost every once in a while. Though that didn't help the fact that right now he had no clue where he was, but he was pretty sure he was still on school grounds or at least he hoped.
Aindriu had been following Vanity, in one of her many little adventures that he liked to follow. The only problem with that was she was much smaller and tended to lose him on such adventures. Well, it wasn't like it was night and so for now he decided to just pick a way and move forward. Hopefully this worked, if not well some one would see his sign for help right? Oh that would be horribly embarrassing for him to have to go through.
His new direction seemed well enough, that was until his foot caught a branch sending him tumbling into the underbrush and bushes that covered the grounds. Another reason he was so worried of getting out, he most definitely did not want to be lost in the forest. The young librarian crawled and stumbled through the bush finally finding a way out the other side.
The blond stood up pulling a couple leaves that had found their way into his now loose braid. He smiled awkwardly at the man sitting at the tree, a slight color coming to his cheeks from embarrassment of being seen in such a state. Aindriu was about to say something but noticed the little one in the others lap that did not look so well. The man looked familiar to the blond, but he was horrible with placing names with faces. Well it didn't seem surprising that there were familiar faces at the school that he went to.Though with all the new faces in it was a whole big mess in the blond's head and he had just taken to starting over again.
"Is the little one alright?" Aindriu asked moving closer to the two on the ground while gesturing to the little niffler. He asked though to his own opinion the little thing did not look like he was feeling well.

he replied, “He hasn’t been eating and he‘s barely been drinking, so the poor thing’s a little malnourished. At least, that’s the only thing I can conclude. I’d suppose he’s acquired a cold; if not, well, it’s something far worse. I suppose it’s only the former though,” he’d begun talking more to himself than the other wizard, rubbing the creature’s belly with a finger, but then remembered he was there and looked up at him without raising his head. “See, nifflers are one of those animals that won’t eat or drink something if they can’t smell it first. So, if you put two and two together, he’s probably got a cold and won’t eat because he’s too congested to smell. I’ll fix him up, though. I’m sure Horace wouldn’t mind brewing a small potion for me. I’m rubbish at it,” he looked up at him completely now. “Terribly sorry, I forgot all formality, didn’t I? I’m Scully Fenn. I teach Care of Magical Creatures. I don’t believe we’ve met…?” [/ul]

Well this is most deffintely not where Aindriu had pictured himself being. Though if you asked him any given day it was usually the same, just going where ever seemed fit at the time. Usually that meant the library with its hundreds and hundreds of books but every so often he would be seen wandering the grounds such as this.
The blond knelt near the older man and the niffler, the thought of not really knowing the man being overshadowed by the fact of the little fuzzy animal sick in his arms. To say Aindriu had a soft spot for animals and the like was putting it lightly, the boy did and always had loved them and their different ways. It was probably why he was always spending so much time with Vanity, which reminded him that she had disappeared on him once again. Well, she was a cat and a lady on top of that so he would give her some time to herself.
The librarian's eyes went large for a moment at the mention of the little niffler having a serious illness, though it got better when the other said he could help the little one. He wouldn't have known what to do if the man had said the niffler wouldn't make it, that would just be... oh he didn't even want to finish that thought.
"I remember having to raise one of them a few years back,"Aindriu started, usually he was one that once it did start he could talk for hours about nothing. Aindriu nodded at what the man said, they were much like cats and other such mammals that always took to smelling the things they ate. Fenn, Fenn, Fenn, the name rung a bell somewhere in that blond's head. So that was why the man looked so familiar to him. "You're the new care of magical creatures teacher," he said as it came back to his mind, "Ah well, I guess I can't really say that anymore, can I? Mmm, probably not since its been a few years now and I am most ceratinly newer here than you. Oh, ah...I'm Aindriu Nuckols, the librarian." His little spill of words ending in a smile.

OOC: adsgfkl the date on your post says July 31st and I didn't even know you'd posted for me. I'm so sorry it took this long. Dx --------- Scully scratched the Niffler gently under its chin, trying to comfort him a bit. He was more than certain he was right about its sickness, which was a relief. He'd made a bit of a mountain out of a molehill, but it was necessary. If one didn't overreact a little bit, there was a risk of not taking things of this nature seriously enough. He'd actually lost a few creatures because of that - when he was less experienced, of course. He'd learned from a lot of mistakes, which was bittersweet. Needless to say, he'd never make the same mistake twice, much in this niffler's favor. Comforted by the fact he could easily help the poor thing with some assistance, he planned to put the animal away in its cage soon, and when he had free time later that day he would request a small potion for the dear.
"Is that right?" he gave the other a friendly, interested smile. He always enjoyed a fellow animal lover, and he hoped that he'd found in this stranger someone who wouldn't mind him talking a bit extensively about the creatures he cared for. "I've always found them quite agreeable to care for and breed. Good for less experienced students, for difficult students and the like. " he left it at that for then, trying for a moment to hold himself from talking about them for too long. Not many people were as fascinated as he himself was with the process of taking care of animals, and Scully had come to realize that very soon after returning to Hogwarts to teach. He mainly kept that type of thing to himself, however there were times when he would be speaking to someone and would go off on a tangent - it was just his nature, really. At least he had the capacity to sit through other people's boring ramblings, as well, which was sort of paying back the favors anyone else was paying him for listening.
He cocked his head; new care of magical creatures teacher? He'd been there quite awhile, really, and found it amusing that he would say that. Nevertheless, he remained quiet as the other staff member spoke. He found it quite entertaining to let his large eyes roam over his face and figure. A beautiful creature, really. There weren't many things that could capture his stare like that, a full-on and uncontrolled stare that he usually didn't notice for a few moments - the kind that you just couldn't prevent yourself from doing. He couldn't believe he'd not seen this man before - well, it was believable, especially when he confirmed that he was the librarian. Still, he felt that he'd been missing out for a good number of years. "Lovely name, he remarked, smiling and raising himself slowly to his feet. He stepped a few feet away and returned the sick animal to its cage, where it nuzzled its nose into the dirt and settled for a sickly nap. His heart heart a bit, but he closed the cage, walked back over to the tree and tucked his book back into his small bag. With that, he returned his attention to Aindriu. "I can't say I venture off into the library very often," he admitted, "Which is probably why we're only meeting now. Aside from that, I spend most of my time out here." He extended his arms, gesturing to the space around him, then let them fall back to his sides. "So you're out for a stroll, then?" he was admittedly curious to find out why he'd turned up in such an interesting way. Not many people ventured out to this particular place - not to say that he wasn't entirely welcome, because he'd definitely captured the teacher's interest.

Aindriu watched the poor little niffler with the professor, well poor little thing was what the blond was calling the sick creature in his head. Though he found it quite right for it to be called as such because the poor little thing was sick and during the summer at that. It just, well it just didn't seem the best time to be sick but then again he guessed no time would be a "good" time to be sick.
Aindriu just smiled and listened to the man talk of the nifflers. He didn't want to start speaking to much because Aindriu was quite aware of that habit of his but it was just so easy to get into and then by the end the original topic would be quite forgotten as completely new and foreign one took its place leaving whoever listened to be quite lost in the whole thing.
"If I could spend more time out here, I would," Aindriu said the other's previous stare quite lost on the young man who had gotten distracted once again, "I mean I love the library and the books. Oh my, there are so many and I honestly don't think I've seen them all yet. Though there is the fact that I have only just begun but still the last library I was at. Well, this one is huge and actually quite terrifying with some of the knowledge in there like the restricted section. It makes me wonder why there is even such a....." Aindriu trailed off realizing he was starting it again and he was trying his best to stop it.
"Ah, sorry. I was rambling quite a bit and speaking so fast and...," Aindriu said blushing again at his on embarrassment. "But I was following my lady and she is far better at walking these grounds then I will probably ever be." Aindriu smiled at that because it was true, though Vanity did have the advantage of being a cat. Then as if she was summoned by the blond talking of her, Vanity appeared from the same bushes Aindriu had before though looking much more dignified then he did. The young librarian gave a small laugh at that as she slowly strolled over to him, "Speak of her and she shall appear I guess....?"
