“Evan Rosier is a dark young man.” Evan is a proud pureblood Slytherin who enjoys power. He has come to believe that he deserves it and has the right to use it on others. Besides being proud, he is also smart but apathetic. He is also easily bored and tends to be dark-minded. This proves to be a dangerous combination for all those close to him or near enough to him to get his attention. He will play pranks, fight, and mess with the minds of others for the fun of it.
He is arrogant and can be easily slighted. He does not like being made to look foolish or not getting the proper respect he believes he is entitled to. He does not like the members of the other Hogwarts houses because he believes that those who do not adhere to the belief of pureblood superiority are directly disrespecting him and his principles.
He is fickle and his favor can be quickly lost. However, most people do not realize that they are out of favor with him until it is too late. He can have a violent streak, but his anger is more of a cold rage. He has cursed and pranked friends and enemies alike. The difference between the two can be a very fine line for him. If a friend crosses him for even the smallest infraction, he would not hesitate to make them suffer for it. The Slytherins know enough to be wary of him. Fortunately for them, he is not too cruel to members of his own house.
Unfortunately for the other students of Hogwarts, he is not afraid to be as cruel as possible. In his eyes, it is their own faults for not being true believers. The Ravenclaws do not usually annoy him, but there have been exceptions. He sees Hufflepuff and Gryffindors as worse though for harboring dirty-blooded wizards and not being properly ashamed of it. The Hufflepuffs are weak and don't provide much of a challenge. However, he will not hesitate to play mind games with one if he is bored or in a bad enough mood. The Gryffindors, well, if they are so brave they should be able to provide a decent fight for him.
Evan Rosier is the only child born to the Rosier family. He has been instilled with the pureblood supremacy doctrine that his parents so strongly adhere to. He has never disagreed with his parents and they have never seen cause to discipline him. He could be a cruel child, but his parents were dismissive of his dark tendencies.
Evan is fond of power, especially power over others. He is willing to do anything to achieve it. As a child, he used his powers to destructive ends on the house and on the servants, but this quickly bored him. His parents were only exasperated with this behavior and had someone fix the damage. However, despite the neglectful nature of his parents, they did respond to him more when he behaved poorly. At first, that was why he did it. But then, he began to enjoy it. It felt good to hurt, to twist, and to exert power over others. While affection appeared unattainable (he still does not understand the difference between an ally and a true friend), power was easily within his reach.
The Rosier heir knew he would be sorted into Slytherin. He had already met some of the sons of the prominent families and had connections before he even started his first year. He has had little difficulty with his classes. The only class he does not like is Defense Against the Dark Arts. He does not see himself having to evade curses and thinks that it is unfair that there is no deeper study of the Dark Arts at Hogwarts. He also enjoys Quidditch which provides a good outlet for his violent tendencies. (Unfortunately, life gets boring aside from Quidditch and he continues to use those dark tendencies towards displays of cruelty.)
He is not eager to leave Hogwarts. He does not know what career or path to pursue after he is done. However, he is a Rosier and that does count for something among the right members of the wizarding world. There is only one thing he is certain of and it is not something he is fond of. He is to marry after Hogwarts. The girl is a pureblood like himself, but she is not in Slytherin and there are whispers that she might be a blood traitor. He is not too bothered by this though. He is sure that he can convince her to see the light. He has converted other people to his way of thinking before. He has not met her yet and is not sure what to expect.
Lately, he has been hearing murmurings of a movement. He has heard the stories of violence and disappearances. These reports have been filling the wizarding community with dread, but not him. It is what should be happening in his eyes. Purebloods are superior after all. Everyone else needs to finally understand that. He is willing to help support the cause that will open people's eyes to this.
