Against the greenery of the scenic fields of grass that surrounded the school she was a dark spot under the bright and welcoming warmth of the sun, it was too easy to spot Amy from a distance and it was almost too easy to sense her in the atmosphere; on days like that day, she just didn't belong.
The day had been another easy day, an early day as well for one of many reasons, all she were trying to do was enjoy the time that she had to herself before she would return back to the dormitories. Her hands were laced together behind her head, her left foot crossed over her right, as she laid down on the ground looking up at the bright blue sky through her dark and tasteless umbrella. Amy couldn't remember when or where it was she had picked up the horrid thing but she couldn't resist bringing it out on days like today where she wanted to enjoy the outside but not get burned by the sun at the same time.
To anyone looking from the outside in they might be thinking to themselves that Amy was trying to make sme sort of statement or that she was a part of some kind of scene. That would be the typical kind of vain thought that anyone would normally conjure up in their mind once their eyes would land on her. To be frank, Amy could have cared less about then about fitting in with anyone or anything. You'd think that going to a wizardly school would put the establishment and its denizens well above cliques and the like but that surely wasn't the case.
Amy really hadn't fit in anywhere and she had only been there for a couple of years. She had a few friends, friends whom she'd talk to and do things with, but she didn't really get along with any groups or people whom she didn't know. A part of that had to do with her inability to put up with others and a lot of it had to do with other people's inabilities to even give her a chance - or so she had thought.
There she laid in the sun just trying to relax and have a good time, another day had come but it was not quite yet done. The sun raised up in the sky and began its descent downward, in her mind's eye she could almost see its fractional movements above her if she watched the damned star long enough. She thought that it had to be nice to be able to just lay back and relax like this every single day, anyone who had the ability to kick it like she was at that moment in time all of the time was probably undeserving and very lucky in her book; she were envious of people whom she had never met at the thought of it.
She wondered, inwardly, what the rest of the day had in store for her.

It was a good thing that the sun was out and shining. The black of Kyran's robes soaked in the rays, making the slight chill of the air not seem so bad. He wasn't like the rest of the students who ran off into the courtyard to relax or meet up with their friends, or to even have some alone time. There was a reason he had come to the courtyard and it was to look for someone. He doubted that the person would keep their word, but they had possessed something he was looking for and it was something he had desperately desired. But the person he had contacted was wishy-washy. They were all talk, he figured, but Kyran was about to put it to the test.
When he walked down the slight hill near the courtyard, he noticed there was a female sprawled out in the designated meeting spot. Upon seeing who it was, Kyran's expression shifted to something of disgust. Arkwright was the type of girl he couldn't stand, much like many Slytherin girls. And it was his notion that she wasn't a pureblood, either. But she was there, present, and in his way of a possible meeting. He had wanted to tell her to vacate the area, but he knew that the spot where she lain was not something he could claim.
Instead he walked down the slope of the grass and paused a few steps away from the female. He look outward, the bothered expression slowly clearing. Maybe the person he was suppose to meet would see another person here, and would decide to turn around. Amy was ruining it for him. However, he wasn't the type to pull out his wand and start harassing someone who was unarmed or didn't deserve it. Amy was a mere inconvenience. He wasn't strong with words, either. Even politely asking someone to please move wasn't the best approach. Everyone had a foul attitude and felt like they had something to prove.
Amy was none of his business, so he did not ask anything of her. He merely stood there.
